Serena Release Control is a process-based application release management workflow built on Serena Business Manager (SBM). It manages the flow of releases through multiple release gates, such is System Integration Test (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT), en route to the production environment. Changes that Release Control manages can be as simple as a single patch or as complex as a major application release.

Common Process-based Workflow for all Releases

Release Control is a component of Serena Release Manager, the release management solution designed to help release managers, DevOps and IT operations teams manage and automate the deployment of application releases and changes in the data center and to the cloud on mainframe and distributed systems. With Release Control, all of your releases, even emergency releases, are managed in a common workflow designed for your release policies and processes.
