Dave Clarke, Chairman

Dave, a Principal Configuration Management Consultant within Fujitsu Services, is currently providing Configuration Management consultancy to large government and other programmes within the company. He is currently employing his skills in Configuration Management, Systems Integration, Networking and Development to meet these programmes Configuration Management requirements in terms of Architecture, Design, Modelling and Service Development and Support.

He is/has provided consultancy to internal and external clients with aim of designing and helping them to implement their own integrated Configuration Management infrastructures.

In the technical area of Configuration Management tools, Dave is an acknowledged expert in the third party tool Serena Dimensions (21years experience), and has provided internal and external consultancy on the practical use of this tool and its integration capabilities within a programme/project environments.

Dave has also provided overview and methodology training on the subject of Configuration Management and within the company.

Ian Topliss, Vice Chairman

Ian, a member of the multinational Software Methods and Tools team at MBDA, has six years management of Dimensions configuration management systems across the UK as well as four years use on projects and two years in an advisory capacity across Italy. He is currently the chairman of the multinational Dimensions user group within the Company advising on overview and methodology training and has overseen several upgrades of the tool since 2004 across multiple networks including recently the first multinational upgrade for the tool. He has/is providing overview training within the Company of the Dimensions tool, and advises on use of integrations to the tool for projects within their programme/project environment.

He has sixteen and a half years process improvement experience across defence and telecoms sectors at several organisations, working on multinational projects with overseas partners such as Italy, France and the US, which has included development of safety related configuration management plans to comply with various customer standards such as MIL STD 498, DEF STANs 05-57, 00-55 and 00-56 using several SCM tools. He has created business continuity plans, acted as SQA on projects, and been involved in customer delivery/acceptance audit as well as implementing CMM.

He is a European Engineer and Chartered Engineer.
